We’ll play a round on our honeymoon in Edinburgh! Bruntsfield boasts breathtaking surroundings, stunning green fairways and offers us its challenging nature and is the fourth oldest golf club in the world. Hopefully nobody will see our scorecard!

With your lovely wedding gift, we’ll take part in this tour! We’ll head south to Scott’s View promising us sweeping views of Tweed Valley and the Eildon Hills then head to Melrose where we’ll explore its great Border Abbey. After indulging in a local lunch in Melrose, we’ll stop in the stunning 15th century Rosslyn Chapel, immortalized in Dan Brown’s “Da Vinci Code” and learn more about the myths and legends surrounding the whereabouts of the “Holy Grail.”

While honeymooning in Edinburgh we’ll visit Dean Village! We’ll take a short walk from New Town’s Charlotte Square to this 800-year-old milling town on the Water of Leith. Here, we’ll stroll along the romantic riverside through the village admiring its surrounding beauty and brilliant natural colors!

We can’t wait to discover this 17th century merchant house while honeymooning in Edinburgh! It has been beautifully restored and shows how confined living conditions were on the Royal Mile centuries ago. This tour will be a lovely day out on our honeymoon!

We’ll be prepared to be spooked on our honeymoon in Edinburgh! The 18th century tenement cellars and basements that we’ll visit are believed to be haunted by all who died from the plague in 1645!

Beware! This honeymoon walking tour takes place on cobbled streets with Adam Lyal, highwayman who was executed in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket in 1811, as our guide. Mr. Lyal will lead us through the haunted alleyways and dark courtyards of Old Town Edinburgh telling tales of executions and torture, ghosts and witchcraft and the notorious 19th century trade of body snatching! There will be, no doubt, a few strange incidents and ghastly appearances so this tour is not for the faint of heart!

While honeymooning in Edinburgh we’ll visit the Royal Oak Pub on Infirmary Street! We’ll savor our ales while being entertained by upbeat Scottish folk music. A perfect honeymoon evening spent with the locals!

We must be aware at all times on this exciting adventure in the Edinburgh Dungeon! Along the way, we’ll meet the ghosts of the city when we start our journey through Scotland’s most horrible history. Brutal Clan Wars, Edinburgh’s Great Fire and the Anatomy Theatre are just some of the horrible things we’ll witness. Before the fun is over, we will board a boat that will take us into the lair of cannibal Sawney Bean, but beware! He smells new flesh!

With your lovely wedding gift, we’ll discover the lifestyle of Edinburgh’s 18th century upper class! We’ll visit the Georgian House and admire its elegant architecture and antiques!

With your wedding gift, we’ll be delightfully welcomed onboard where Winston Churchill, Boris Yeltsin, Rajiv Gandhi and Nelson Mandela once were welcomed too! While cruising through the sparkling blue waters, we’ll admire the rich treasures of Edinburgh, see artifacts from the previous Royal Yachts including the lavish silver in the Officer’s Wardroom. We’ll have the chance to see the Queen’s bedroom, the Sun Lounge and the Admiral’s cabin as well as the working side of the ship!

Haggis is traditionally served with the Burns supper on January 25th, the Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns, is commemorated. He wrote the poem Address to a Haggis, which starts “Fair fa’ your honest, sonsie face, Great chieftain o’ the pudding-race! Aboon them a’ ye tak your place….” In other words, we have to try it on our honeymoon in Edinburgh, Scotland!
