Jeff and I met online. We both had subscribed to Yahoo Personals and if you ask him, he'll tell you that he picked me first but I sent him the first message. It was the cutest picture of him hanging upside down from a rock. He had been rock climbing with his friend Matt. My first thought was, Wow, he's cute and he likes adventure. Obviously I had no idea what I was in for. Only later did we find out our dads had worked together when we were children. Small world, huh?

By the time our wedding date arrives we will have been together for just over 3 years. No matter how hard times get he always finds a way to make me smile. We truly believe we were meant for each other.

The wedding we've chosen is not what I would call traditional. We wanted our ceremony to be uniquely special to us and be open and inviting so that everyone felt included. We've decided to not have a brides/grooms side to the seating. We wanted everyone to join and mingle into a single group of family and friends as a symbol that we truly are joining two lives as one. The Maple Manor Hotel in Uptown Dallas is our chosen location and the ceremony will begin at 7pm. The Maple Manor Hotel is a beautiful victorian style mansion with a lush stone courtyard complete with waterfalls and winding staircase. Trees surround the courtyard and provide much needed shade from the hot Texas sunset. I knew the moment I saw the place that it was perfect and the interior is just as beautiful.

Our reception will also be at the Maple Manor Hotel directly following the ceremony. They are providing a lavish menu that's sure to please everyone and a wonderfully elegant dining area. We've chosen a menu that we hope will have everyone's tastebuds dancing with delight. But save room for the cake, we promise it will be the best you've ever tasted. There will be drinking, dancing, romance, good food and good times for all. We've also got something special planned for our "get away" but we're going to leave that for a surprize.
